FAQ’S

What is a cooperative?

As defined, a cooperative means willing to help; doing what is asked or required.  Simply, each family is assigned a snack and craft day 2-3 times on a rotating basis throughout the year.  You bring an allergy-free snack and provide a basic craft.  In addition, each member at the start of each playgroup, pulls out the toys from the closet and puts the toys away at the end.  Each member also participates in an evening toy clean-up to ensure the health and safety of the children when playing.

When are the playgroup sessions held?

Sessions are held Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30-11:30 am and Tuesday from 8:30-10:30 am.

Where is the playgroup located?

NCP rents space at St. Paul’s Church in Natick. It is a large, open space for lots of activity, a convenient parking lot and a stair-free entry! It is located at 39 East Central Street in Natick Center.

(Please note, NCP is not affiliated with St. Paul’s Church.)

What if this is my first baby?

NCP is a great way to meet other new parents!  Don’t worry if your baby is only a month or two old, this “playgroup” is more for the parents when babies are this young.

Can I drop off my child?

No, a parent or caregiver must attend all sessions with the child/children.

Am I able to come for a free trial to see what playgroup is like?

Yes, drop in any Monday through Friday during regular playgroup hours to see what the fun is all about!

I am not a crafty person and have concern about having to bring a craft.  What type of craft should I bring?

Don’t stress over your craft!  The children love all kinds of crafts.

Think stamps, coloring pads or store bought crafts.  As long as the craft is age appropriate it’ll be enjoyed by all!
